A Question of Yams

Kuri's village is baking under the heat of the sun.  If water does not come soon, the crops will die.  The villagers blame Kuri's father.  They say the spirits will punish Kuri's family because his father trusts in God.  "If that is so," Kuri wonders, "why is Father the one who isn't afraid?
