Songbird

Truxton Pilcher sweeps the pewter shavings in his father's foundry and keeps the fire hot, but his mind is on the surrounding woodlands and feathered creatures. Someone else in the colony of Williamsburg loves and studies birds too. Truxton's family never imagines what this shared interest could mean until a life and death crisis proves how important their young dreamer's favorite pastime really is.
