Other than knowing that John Thornton lived near London, was in the Church of England, and was very evangelistic, there is very little information on record about his personal life. However his contribution to the cause of Christ and His church through his classic work on Repentance and this work on The Preciousness of Christ are priceless.
An absolutely must read book.
