The Journeyman

It is the early 1800s, and New England is a barren, freezing waste-land. Farmers are growing desperate, believing spring has abandoned them. Word gets around that two itinerant painters are bringing brilliant blossoms and the warm glow of tropical sunshine to the land. But when they find out one of the painters is young Jared Austin, idle gossip begins to cast chilly shadows from the past.
